After the show wraps, the questions about Bachelorette fashion usually don’t die down.

In the case of Emily Maynard, they’re even more frequent, as Emily has been seen out and about in various situations (and scandals) rather than once a week.

But the question I’m asked most frequently is not where Emily Maynard shops, but rather, “does the Bachelorette get to keep her clothes after the show finishes?”

From what I understand, most of the former bachelorettes (except 1) get to keep their enviable wardrobes. With the exception of the jewelry (which is borrowed) most of the pieces are purchased specifically for the Bachelorette – including this T Alexander Wang marled dress that Emily Maynard wore during the hometown dates, and again this week at some kind of sporting event.

So that should clear up two very pressing Bachelorette fashion questions.

Who’s the bachelorette who didn’t get to keep her wardrobe?

That’s one you’ll just have to keep guessing.

In terms of economics, there’s a theory about “trickle down” economics. The idea that tax benefits to the rich will also benefit the poor.
And in terms of Bachelorette fashion, there’s a theory that when Emily Maynard wears something, viewers eventually will benefit.
Okay, that’s not really a thing. I just made it up.
Even so, I thought it was a nifty way to tell you guys that Mary Beth York, the creator of Rock Your Tube has reissued Emily’s Rock Your Tube red maxi skirt. The lycra “tube,” can also be worn as a maxi dress. (See, dual purpose! Two dresses in one.)
And because I created that whole economic theory to validate Emily Maynard fashion, I got Mary Beth to offer the red tube for $45 (it’s $65 for everyone else.)
So you can benefit from Emily Maynard fashion too.
I cannot for the life of me fathom why I got a D in economics.

Bachelor Pad Finale: Rachel and Jaclyn’s dresses

jaclyn

It’s the end of an era.

It’s not just the end of Bachelor Pad 3, but Bachelor Pad in general.

And it went out with a bang.

Rachels.

Some of our players grew for the better.

Rachel tossed her Forever 21 for Pencey and Brian Atwood.

Blakely and Tony might be my favorite Bachelor couple in history. (To be fair there are only 3.)

And some of our players grew like herpes.

Jeweled, crystal eye herpes.

PLEASE FIND EMILY MAYNARDS GREEN DRESS FOR THE BENEFIT INTERVIEW – Monica

The other day someone asked me how Emily Maynard affords all her clothing.

To be honest, I have no idea. It’s really not my business how someone makes her money (or how she chooses to spend it.) I wouldn’t ask that question of my closest friend, much less a stranger from TV.

Then the person went on to say that Emily doesn’t have a job, to which Emily replied, “looking good is my job.”

One thing is for certain.

Emily has one helluva work ethic.

The Bachelorette Fashion and Style Guide

Unlike the Bachelor, Bachelorette fashion is all about glamour and aspiration. Bachelorette style is in great part influenced by Bachelorette wardrobe designer Cary Fetman. Cary has an amazing eye for unique, over-the-top pieces that are all about femininity and fantasy.

Under Cary’s watchful eye Bachelorette style incorporates the Bachelorette’s own personal style with what the viewers will like. Dressing for both men, women and herself, the Bachelorette style is constantly evolving.

With Jillian Harris  -to date, still my favorite Bachelorette fashion ever – it was all about playfulness. Jillian and Cary, I believe, singlehandedly made rompers mainstream, including Jillian Harris’s now iconic denim romper from Forever21. Harris wore dresses by Alice + Olivia, a feather dress from Express as well as plaid, flannel tunics and leggings from Aritzia. Jillian’s bachelorette fashion also included a number of knee-high boots from Frye and Aldo, Sorel boots and colored pumps from Jillian Harris’ own personal collection. Jillian also had a keen eye for accessories causing near pandemonium over her gold watch by Michael Kors and a pair of Badgley Mischka gunmetal pumps.

Bachelorette Ali Fedotowsky also had her own Bachelorette style. Opting for romantic, girly dresses, Ali Fedotowsky favored dresses by BCBG and ABS. Her first night’s rose ceremony dress was a backless gown by celebrity designer Pamella Rolland. Ali Fedotowsky’s bachelorette fashion is best remembered for her accessories including a turquoise necklace by Susanne Elizabeth and several pieces by canadian designer KV Bijou. She wore metal bracelets by Danijo and ended with a diamond ring from Neil Lane.

Most recently, Ashley Hebert flexed her own Bachelorette style. The dental student and dancer focused on showing off her legs in tiny sequin tunic dresses, shorts and, yes, blouses as dresses. On the road, Ashley shopped at Zara and bought several oversized tops that she wore as dresses. Because Ashley Hebert is so tiny, stylist Cary Fetman kept her accessories to a minimum, focusing on body hugging mini dresses, shorts, middriff baring tops and neutral colored dresses with glitz from Alice + Olivia and Sheri Bodell.  Early in the process, Ashley Hebert gravitated towards designer Randi Rahm for her rose ceremony dresses, including a $17,000 feather embellished gown she wore the night JP Rosenbaum proposed to her with a Neil Lane diamond ring.

Later to promote her Bachelorette fashion, Ashley Hebert wore Naven for her media appearances. Hebert also wore many statement rings, including LA designer Kiki designs, who later released a line of turquoise rings similar to Ashley’s due to the demand around her oversized turquoise ring.
