Andi Dorfman’s gold strapless dress from the Bachelorette promos
Photos of Andi Dorfman, the bachelorette are popping up everywhere. From her crochet bikini to her black leather shorts, this season of the Bachelorette promises to be one of the best dressed ever.
Stylist Cary Fetman is having a ball dressing Andi, who’s been very collaborative in the process. Andi is a woman who knows what she wants, and will often look at an outfit and say, “I know the exact shoe I want to go with that.” This season, expect to see Andi in a lot of black and white, and lots of leather – including crop tops, shorts and leather skirts.
The show also spared no expense on Andi’s bachelorette gowns which Cary promises will “bring the fantasy.” The two looked at dresses from Dolce and Gabbana, Lanvin, Alexander McQueen, Randi Rahm and more. They even reworked one David Meister dress to perfection. Her first night’s dress was a last minute switch up – they were waiting for returns from the Academy Awards before making the final decision.
One other secret from the show? Everything was tailored. Fetman says it’s important to remember that you don’t have to wear clothes right off the rack – everything was tailored to suit Andi’s frame – something you should remember when the season starts before you email me telling me what she’s wearing doesn’t look “the same as the one I posted.” (You know who you are!)
Worried that everything is out of your budget? Although the clothes are fabulous, Fetman promises they’re also attainable and the two often mixed in pieces from Forever21, the Gap and Steve Madden. Though Andi brought with her a suitcase of her own stuff, she ended up wearing very few pieces. She loved her new Bachelorette wardrobe.
If her style sounds reminiscent of that other Bachelorette, Emily Maynard, the two have very different styles. Fetman says Andi is classic and favors dainty, delicate jewelry. She gravitates towards black and white and doesn’t love herself in frill. There was a lot of compromise in creating Andi’s bachelorette fashion, which continues to evolve (they’re shopping for shoes on the road.)
