Parenthood is one of those shows that I’m going to continue to cover. Mostly because I really like it and I want to talk about it each week, and Lauren Graham continues to ignore my tweets.
I’ve long thought Hank (Ray Romano) might have Aspberger’s syndrome. I realize how totally ignorant this statement is. I base it on the fact that Hank is socially awkward and has a hard time reading social cues, and also, I think it would be cool in a poetic Parenthood-y kind of way if Hank was a subtle look at who Max is going to grow into: a successful photographer, possibly a father and/or husband. You get the point. Look, I don’t have any expertise on the spectrum, I just think it would be interesting, and as Hank read about Max on this week’s Parenthood, I think it all rang a little familiar to him, as well.
Which doesn’t make me a doctor.
But it might make me an excellent writer for television.
