Jess’s New Girl Houndstooth Jacket
Karen Millen (modified by costume designer Deb McGuire)
Nobody loves DIY quite as much as Zoey Deschanel. She’s like a human Pinterest board.
So it should come as no surprise that when New Girl costume designer Deb McGuire couldn’t find a jockey-inspired coat to fit this week’s New Girl storyline, the award winning costume designer Pretty in Pinked an Karen Millen trench coat, shortening the wool jacket and adding houndstooth sleeves and collar for a Jockey-chic look.

Okay, that is cute. But when you go to an event or outing, would you dress up as the participants? In most cases, you wouldn’t, unless you were…like…involved in it or something. I get the spirit of it. But she’s not riding horses, She just a spectator. I don’t even know that most people even notice that her outfit was jockey inspired. I mean, we need to see something more satiny and maybe number 22 pinned on.
Can you please please please id Jess’s dress from last night’s episode Pepperwood. Here is a link to a picture: http://www.splashnewsonline.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/12/spl466342_007-wm900.jpg . It is a sleeveless dress with a blue bodice and a print of cartoon children on the skirt of the dress. It is sooo adorable, and I am in college to become a teacher and this would be a perfect dress to have! I loveee it!
Here’s the item I did about the dress for InStyle. I’ll have all the clothes ID’d tomorrow morning (I have it all just need to write it up.) http://news.instyle.com/2013/01/23/new-girl-zooey-deschanel-doll-dress/
