Sometimes I worry that my husband and I will fall into the trap of becoming a sad Waffle House couple, like Reagan Brinkley mentions on this week’s Up All Night.
But then I remember that there is no Waffle House near where we live. There is an IHOP, but it’s really hard not to smile when you order the Rootie Tootie Fresh and Fruitie, so I think we’re in the clear.
This weekend my friend Emily (not that Emily) will be saying “I Do” to a man she met at a trapeze class. Like Reagan Brinkley, she also had dreams of being in Circus of the Stars. (Or maybe it was the Olympics. Something. I’ll get back to you.)
Like Reagan Brinkley, Emily also works in television. And much like Reagan’s Up All Night Style, Emily gravitates towards long, flow-y maxi skirts in bohemian prints like the one Reagan wore this week on Up All Night.
So I’m posting this skirt in honor of Emily and her wedding.
May your marriage and your skirts be long and full.
And may you never turn into the sad Waffle House couple.

I don’t know, this one seems kind of drab…better with the teal shirt, but I sort of like the full maxi fashion (not a closetful, however) when it’s done right – like bold colors in silk.

I don’t keep up on the shows or have cable. But from what I see from her clothes, they don’t look like outfits that I’d imagine someone wearing on a show called ‘Up All Night.’
I imagine more urban, edgier clothes. Dark, leather, slinky.
