Last night on Hart of Dixie, Zoe Hart pulled a Kelly Taylor.

Sure it was a historic moment  in television when, after months of going back and forth between Dylan McKay and Brandon Walsh, Kelly Taylor finally committed to making a decision on 90210. (The old version.)

And when Kelly uttered those three little words – I choose me – the future of television love triangles was forever changed.

Since then everyone from Sookie Stackhouse to Erin Silver has pulled the old “I choose me” card.

Look, I’m as big a fan of the self love message as the next guy. But seriously? This was kind of a cop out. Ever since Kelly’s big decision, TV love triangles have been solved with the standby “door number three” option.

I’m sorry, but like the name of the game, death is not an option. In real life, you don’t get to choose “neither.” Imagine if, in real life, we tried this strategy.

Paper or plastic? I choose me.

Regular or decaf? I choose me.

Louboutin or YSL?

Don’t even tell me you’d choose neither.
