Animal Practice fashion: Dorothy’s red cardigan and ankle boots

Joanna Garcia Swisher as Dorothy on Animal Practice wears this Equipment Ella sweater and Barney’s Co-op Ankle boots

Look. I’m a dog person. I love animals as much as the next guy. But when I started receiving requests for Animal Practice fashion, I thought I was being punked.

I mean, where would I even go about searching for monkey clothes? (Sidenote, how cute is that little money in his suit?)

I’m going to throw you a (dog) bone on this one because I love Joanna Garcia Swisher style. I was a huge fan of Privileged which first introduced me to Pretty Little Liars‘ own Lucy Hale (show of hands: who watched it?) and I’m happy to see her in all her ginger glory back on the small screen.

And while I’m not sure how long their shtick can last – the misanthropic, monkey toting vet and his overly optimistic ex-girlfriend working side by side. It’s like Moonlighting with animals.

I suspect in upcoming weeks, we’ll see the animal hospital overrun by jungle animals, threatened to be closed down due to lack of funding and several incidences of Dorothy stepping in various animal droppings in her enviable shoe collection.

Only time will tell if NBC also stepped in it with Animal Practice.

What do you think of Animal Practice? Will it stick around or do you think it’s for the birds? Let me know your thoughts on the show, and Animal Practice style and fashion.

  1. I was a huge fan of Privileged too! Although I haven’t watched Pretty Little Liars or Animal Practice. Love Joanna Garcia (Swisher now?) but she hasn’t had much luck in the series department… didn’t she have one before this called Better with You or something? Anyway, hopefully she’ll find something that lasts bc she’s adorable and so is her style… and bc you need more shows to post about ;) (jk your TiVo must hate this blog)

  2. It’s quirky, bizarre, off-the-wall craziness caught my interest for many reasons – the top 2 being, my daughter is a veterinary student, and, the real life fashion, which is inspiring. Joanna dresses more like a typical big city veterinarian than most people think, plus I absolutely love her style. Crossing my fingers the show sticks around all season, but at least long enough for my daughter to have the time to see it over winter break. It’s about time a COMEDY and a show that isn’t reality tv, sticks around in primetime!
