I tend to stay away from cliches, like girl crushes and single women loving cheesy, romantic 90′s movies. But, when it comes to Mindy Kaling?
I’ll have what she’s having.
I think, typically, people reserve their girl crushes for Zooey Deschanel and Sophia Bush, but when it comes to the best friend table, I’m saving the seat next to me for Mindy Kaling.
And not just because I want to share clothes with her.
The series premiere of the Mindy Project aired last night, featuring signature Mindy Project fashion including a body hugging bandage dress, a butterfly tunic bedazzled within an inch of its life and this Wildfox star print sweater that I practically lived in all last winter.
A new friendship, like a new TV show, is always precarious. Will this last just a few weeks, or will Mindy Project have a long and fulfilling place in our lives?
Only time will tell. But in the meantime, it’s nice to have a new friend to share clothes with.

I liked the Mindy Project and will definitely be watching it this season! Do you have any idea what nail polish she was wearing during the pilot (or a similar color)? It was such a pretty red-orange.
I thought that show was seriously hilarious – I hadn’t even intended to watch it but am so glad I did! She cracks me up. And the fashion is cute to boot.

The sweater link wouldn’t work! I did find it so cute, but way out of the budget for such a “unique” sweater. People would def start to notice if I wore it every day, right?
