For the season premiere of How I Met Your Mother, I spent a good portion of the episode starting confusedly at my TV screen.
Candidly I’m not a regular watcher of HIMYM.
I’m also not entirely sure “confusedly” is even a word.
And I can’t even blame it on sleep deprivation.
Look, I love stripes as much as the next girl, but the way Robin’s watch was riding up on her wrist was all kinds of confusing to me.
Like WAAAAY more confusing than figuring out who Ted’s future wife is, or who your mother is, kids.
Turns out, the mystery of the wedgie watch (Get it? It’s a wedgie, because it kept riding up) was solved. The watch on the striped sweater isn’t really a watch at all. It’s just a really, really expensive sweater by Golden Goose.
Like, you know when something’s really expensive you say, “is it made out of diamonds?” Well this $400+ sweater isn’t.
But it does come with a gold watch.
That’s right twice a day.

Oh! That sweater is so bizarre … it does look like your watch is riding up your arm. I don’t like it!
