Emily Maynard’s tribal hippie bag

I don’t think I’ll be able to jump off the Emily Maynard bandwagon any time soon. I know it’s a small picture of it, but could you ID the bag on Emily’s lap in this picture from her trip to Africa with Jef (or a similar bag)? Thanks so much! – Ellen

If you’ve been following Possessionista for any period of time, you may know I’m a big of a boho handbag hoarder. I have quite the collection of jadeTribe and Precious Hands bags, made from fair trade textiles from Southeast Asia, creating jobs and income for women.

I suspected early on that Emily Maynard’s bag in Ghana might have been a local find.

But I was wrong.

It turns out Emily’s bag is actually the jadeTribe Elizabeth bag, an amazing Texas based company that buys fair trade textiles and makes these beachy, hippie bags that I simply can’t get enough of.

And based on the number of you asking for Emily’s crossbody messenger bag, I’m not the only one.

ETA: For those asking, I belive these are the boots. Or these.

Oh I don’t know anymore.
