Nina Garcia’s jeweled top on Project Runway Premiere

Of all the competition reality shows, I think Project Runway would be the hardest.

Talent aside, Nina Garcia is one of the most knowledgeable figures in fashion, and she sets the bar for what’s good.

And what’s Wet Seal.

My mom used to say when shopping, if you look better in what you wore into the dressing room than what you tried on, don’t buy it.

And I suspect that’s a little how Nina feels 90% of the time. Knowing these contestants will rarely make anything as impeccable as what is currently on her person.

Luckily she’s not judging fashion star.
