You know how there’s a heinous crime, sometimes the police look to the public for tips towards solving the case.
I’m not saying Emily Maynard’s dress from Live! With Kelly was a heinous crime.
But this is sort of like that.
After several false starts including a lead that led me down the Real Housewives rabbit hole (I thought Heather Thomson from RHONY was wearing the same dress) my reader Katherine G. sent me the tip that cracked the case.
Which is good because I know now that we can close the book on Emily Maynard’s fashion, we can all sleep a little better.

I think the dresses are similar but not the same. The bottom hem is different, sleeves are different, and waist is different
I don't think it is the same cut of dress, the pattern is same but cut and ruching are completely different. Emily's dress hem has a baseball tee cut, whereas the ID one has a completely straight hem.
Wow dana you are so lucky to have such assholes for readers who just point out that something is wrong without ever actually finding anything themself. it must be a really hard life to have someone do all the work for you and then just sit back when they get it a little worng. Anon- I don't think Dana's followers are intending to be “assholes.” I think it is more or less a discussion to HELP Dana find the real one. While I DO think a “thank you for finding such a similar look,” was in order I think it is a little abrupt to judge their intention to be so negative.

Dana, you do a fabulous job and if people don't like your extremely similar dress (at probably a much more realistic price point for your readers), then they can find the real one on their own. OR realize that most 'celebs' make many many alterations to their clothing that could render i unrecognizable to the original item.

It's actually the Kain Label Isabella dress — I only know because I do like Kain and happened to see this for pre-fall. Either way, the cut of the dress is horrid, and they're typically a quality line.
Was wondering what brand Emily's tank tops are. They seem to be the perfect fit. It may also just be that she has the perfect bod!

The dress isn't so good.
Emily could wear a burlap sack and still look gorgeous, but for the rest of us…avoid this dress….
I still don't think they were trying to be rude- it isn't like they said “Dana can't you get anything right?” They said.. “I think this one is different- and here is why I think that…”
Personally I don't care much for this dress. I think it looks like a hemmed curtain from my Grandma's house.

I was one of the initial people who commented that I didn't think the ID'd dress was exactly the same as the one Emily wore on Live. My goodness, when I posted I certainty didn't expect that voicing my opinion would cause such a frenzied, hateful backlash.
My post was certainly not meant to be rude; please note that I did not use profanity, nor did I attack others/put anyone down.
