Steven Berklee Sandal, $148.95
A few summers ago, I was running across the playground after my, then, 2 year old, and broke what just might have been the greatest sandals of all time.
Since then I’ve tried with little success to find a day sandal to replace this gem – a shoe that gave me height (lengthening my otherwise short legs) without such an arch that I risked breaking my neck in them.
I’m been loathe to adopt the whole flatform trend which look more like nurse’s shoes than a fashion statement, but when I came across these Berklee sandals, I have to admit these just might be the sandal to finally mend my broken heart.

I was looking for a wedge that I could actually walk in, so I bought these DV ones a few weeks ago:

However, when I tried them on they reminded me to much of my childhood days in these:

The Berklee are alright…but I'm with you as far as platform shoes and sandals – no way will they be put on my feet. There's something about that fad that doesn't work for me. Most styles either look cheap or too flimsy. Personally, I won't miss the style when it goes away.:)

Never liked the flatform trend….just doesn't do it for me. Give me a wedge or a flat-none of this hybrid mess. But rock it if you want, it's your foot!
