With only three episodes under my belt – pun intended – it mas more difficult than I imagined to put together this week’s Jane by Design fashion inspired style boards featuring items by ShopBop.
So I turned to the expert – Olivia Miles, costume designer for Jane by Design – and asked the Van Gogh of tutus for some tips about the two most stylish frenemies on the show.
India is all about monocromatic. She’s a New York city girl who leans towards black and grey. But India is all about the detailing – chains, zipper and feathers.
Jane Quimby is girly to a tee. Tutus and color dominate this vintage-inspired fashionista. Her wardrobe is as much fashion forward as it is DIY. Jane’s a shoewhore, who loves statement footwear, bold colors, and mixing patterns with a feminine touch.
Who’s your fashion inspiration on Jane By Design? Jane or India? And what show would you like to see featured as the ShopBop style board next week? (I’m leaning towards Revenge…)
