Sponsored Post: How to use Tresemme Fresh Start Dry Shampoo: Tips from the pros

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of TRESemmé. All opinions are 100% mine.

When Tresseme approached me to review their TRESemmé Fresh Start Dry Shampoo, I have to admit I was intrigued. I mean, I knew the basics: spray dry hair at the roots like hairspray to give your hair an extra boost, but what I really wanted to know was the secrets of the experts.
So I hit up my glam squad:
  1. Andrea Lavinthal, USWeekly.com beauty and style director and Twitter Alpha Girl
  2. Beauty Blogger Junkie and freelance writer extraordinaire, Glambr; and
  3. Alyssa Kolsky Hertzig, beauty editor (and my best friend from high school – please give her a K+)
And asked them each for a tip on their favorite uses for dry shampoo.
Andrea advises that to keep it from being to concentrated in one area, “I sometimes spray it on my hands then massage into my roots.”
Hertzig added it’s great for extending a professional blowout “I am a big fan of professional blowouts (ok I’m obsessed with them!), and I like to squeeze as much time out of each one as I possibly can. Enter dry shampoo. I add a little at the roots each morning, and then touch up any sections of hair that have gotten frizzy with a blowdryer. With this combo, I’m able to keep my good hair going for several days instead of just one. “
And Glambr suggested using it “…pre-updo and pre-braid for a grittier/gluey texture at the roots so that the updo/braid stays.”
As for me? I’m an old fashioned gal, spraying it 8-12 inches per Tresemme’s suggestion on the days I skip shampoo to lift odor and oil from my hair.
So I may not look like a beauty editor.
But at least my hair doesn’t look like I work the night shift as a fry cook
