Updated 4/27: The shoe is now available online and there is a 25% off code (Spring 25) on all shoes at SteveMadden online.
There are few blogs as great as mine.
But running a close second is the uber successful Cupcakes and Cashmere written by Emily Schuman, a girl who knows how to dress so innately it’s like breathing for her.
And while I am obsessed with pretty much everything Emily bakes, cooks and wears, nothing could have prepared me for the compulsive aneurysm I would go into when Emily premiered her new Steve Madden wood platform sandals.
This shoe made me rethink my entire summer wardrobe. Suddenly I needed tiny floral jumpers and loose fitting chambray mini dresses. And shorts! Tons of shorts!
In the last 24 hours I emailed Emily, Steve Madden (the PR department, not the guy), visited the store (not available), Macys, Nordstrom, even Lord and Taylor, before taking to the phone and calling all over California until I finally tracked down these Steve Madden wood platform sandals.
They’re called the Melrow and they are handmade in Los Angeles. Only a handful of stores got them, including the uber helpful folks at Steve Madden in the Beverly Center.
Which means I can stop obsessing about what they’re called.
And start obsessing about what color to get.
