Roses are Red, Turquoise is Blue. I’m schizophrenic. And so am I.

Anyone who knows me knows my fascination with eating disorders. And stalking. And secret cutting. I love movies about sorority hazing. And crystal meth. And models

And above all, I love multiple personalities.
I know this isn’t PC. In fact, it’s downright weird. I am like, the Lifetime Network’s #1 fan. And not because of that sappy Debra Messing show, either.
But it’s the truth.
I have lost count of the number times I’ve watched Sybil. I still sit, torn in disbelief and delight as Sybil tumbles down the stairs as her mother cackles, “have a nice trip? See you next fall.”
Which probably explains my nearly-equal obsession with turquoise.
See, turquoise is kind of like Sybil. It can be classic or contemporary. Wearing it you can be a soccer mom in Arizona or a movie star on the red carpet with a flip of a switch – or, in this case, a swipe of a credit card.
Turquoise is like the Sybil of semi-precious gemstones.
Every few years turquoise makes a pseudo-comeback. But when Eva Mendes showed up at the Golden Globes wearing that insane turquoise and diamond Van Cleef and Arpels necklace, I literally lost my mind.
Which is sort of the point, right?
I couldn’t afford Eva’s necklace – much less pull it off – but that doesn’t mean there aren’t other ways to incorporate this mind altering color into my wardrobe this spring.
Because all my personalities agree – spending a fortune on turquoise accessories is just crazy.
