Lucky Charms

I’ve never won the lottery. I never hit the jackpot in Vegas. My number never comes up in a raffle. I’m not even one of those people that goes to dinner and ends up sitting next to Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt.

In other words, I’m not a lucky person.
Then again, I’m not an unlucky person either.
I’ve broken my fair share of mirrors. (Insert joke here.) And many a black cat has crossed my path. In a moment of desperation, I’ve even walked under a ladder.
Yet I’ve never been hit by a falling safe or an IRS audit.
So I’ve never been one to carry a rabbit’s foot. I don’t wish on falling stars. I don’t pull on wishbones. (I probably wouldn’t win anyway.) I don’t take ladybugs in my house as a sign, or rush to the elephant exhibit at the zoo. And I think fortune cookies are a bunch of malarkey (although they are rather tasty after a spicy tuna roll.)
But lately all these tiny little lucky charms keep popping up in the most unexpected of places. Each with a tiny little price tag.
Lucky me.
